While Canada offers a great choice of both Federal and Provincial immigration programs, immigration to Canada has become increasingly popular due to main driver of the Canadian immigration system – Express Entry. Express Entry is a two steps process, applicants complete an online Express Entry profile and are placed in pool of candidates, where they are raked using a point-based system (CSR). Selected applicants will receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
Express Entry applicants receive priority processing and increased accessibility for candidates from a broader range of occupations. Applicants can apply to Express Entry at any time. There are many different programs: Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), Federal Skilled Trade (FST) and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).
This program is for skilled workers with foreign work experience who want to immigrate to Canada permanently.
If you have a minimum of one (1) year continuous work experience in a managerial, professional or technical job you may be eligible to immigrate as a FSW.
SELECTION FACTORS:
Skilled trades for the Federal Skilled Trades Program are organized under these groups of the National Occupational Classification (NOC):
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is a permanent resident category for individuals who had already established themselves as skilled workers in Canada. CEC program opens the door to Canada for foreign students and foreign workers.
